What’s different on the new forms?

  1. The minimum tax deduction comes out before the state local split (line 6b).
  2. Penalty is distributed based on the local/state percentage of total tax (line 9d).
  3. Minimum penalty distribution has changed.  If the minimum tax deduction wiped out the business tax prior to split (line 6c is 0), the $15 minimum penalty is distributed 85% to local and 15% to state.  If the personal property tax wipes out the local tax liability (line 9c-local is 0), 100% of the $15 minimum penalty goes to the state

You may continue to use the old form with businesses that have received them in the mail and present them with payment.  It is recommended that walk in customers be calculated with the new form.
